The Power of LinkedIn

Posted by: admin In: Google| SEO

I’ve recently been paying more attention to LinkedIn…why? Because it’s all of a sudden showing up everywhere!
I Google "all-spec" and "all-spec industries" from time to time just to monitor…I did a search yesterday for "all-spec industries" and noticed MY LinkedIn page was above the fold…just below all-spec.com and our blog. Holy Cow!
Does Google [...]

Google Sitelink Changes

Posted by: admin In: Google| SEO

I read an article on Search Engine Roundtable today about new Google sitelinks and Google penalties…this was of particular interest to me because AS’s sitelinks recently disappeared. I figured the sitelinks disappeared temporarily because of our recent redesign and URL changes. A couple weeks ago when I checked the links they were the old links [...]

Apparently All SEOs Are Spammers

Posted by: admin In: Industry News| SEO

Ah yes! I was catching up on my SEOmoz This Week in Search and found a link to a lovely list of the ‘Top Online Marketing Jobs to Leave You Friendless’ published by Fox News. Included in this list is Search Engine Optimizer…Really Fox News? Come on! Oh ya and the image [...]

Using the Canonical Link Element

Posted by: admin In: Google| SEO

I signed up for Swagbucks last week because my personal finance friends (another interest of mine) use it and buy some great stuff with it. For those who don’t know what Swagbucks is…Swagbucks is a site where you earn, yes you guessed it, Swagbucks. You can earn bucks by promoting their site, shopping through their [...]

Thoughts on Blogger

Posted by: admin In: Google Apps| Windows Live Writer

I recently moved this blog and one of my other blogs from Wordpress to Blogger. It seems most people go the other way but I recently lost my free hosting and didn’t like the thought of paying for hosting so I decided to try Blogger. Unfortunately there was no easy way to import my blog [...]

The New All-Spec.com

Posted by: admin In: SEO| Site Redesign

As I alluded to in an earlier post, we launched a new website for All-Spec Industries back in June 2009. This was my first redesign as a search marketer so I really didn’t know what to expect. But I did a ton of research and preparation; because of the time I invested on the front [...]

Ya I’m Still Here…

Posted by: admin In: Me!

Well I haven’t updated this blog since February (yikes!) but I’m still in internet marketing (more than ever) and I’ve been pretty busy. Here’s what’s been going on lately and I promise to update more regularly.
-I returned from SMX with plenty of ideas and inspiration but I must say, I was a little surprised the [...]

About

Hi I'm Julie and this is my journal about the web per se; a place where I can jot my thoughts and document trends. I love most things associated with the web but paid search is my forte. I'm also a huge fan of web stats and anything requiring a bit of analytics. :)
